What to expect at 100 KB
A 100 KB budget can suit a modest portrait or thumbnail, but a detailed screenshot may lose readability if it must be resized. Begin with the original and preview faces, signatures, and lettering after compression.

The 100 KB preset is selected for you. For JPG and WebP, the tool starts at your chosen quality and searches down to a 40% floor. If the file still exceeds 100,000 bytes, it reduces dimensions in bounded steps. PNG uses dimension changes because its lossless encoder ignores quality. Each result says whether the target was met.
If an application portal rejects a file that meets the size limit, check its allowed format and dimensions. Some portals accept JPEG only. This compressor preserves your input format, so select a JPG original for those forms.

If the portal requires JPG, select a JPG original. The active 100 KB target applies to each selected photo independently.
Before you download: Confirm the result is at most 100,000 bytes and that its dimensions match the form. A PNG below 100 KB can still be rejected by a JPG-only portal.
It may also restrict format, width, height or aspect ratio. Check those rules alongside the size. This compressor keeps the original format and reports output dimensions.
A closely cropped signature may work, but small strokes can be damaged by resizing or lossy encoding. Inspect the actual result before submitting. Crop in an editor first if there is a large empty border.
Here 100 KB means 100,000 bytes. That also fits a 100 KiB limit of 102,400 bytes. The download size shown is measured from the actual result.
