CompressMyPhotos is a focused utility for reducing image file sizes without sending your photos to an image-processing server.

How it works

Your browser reads each selected image, applies orientation, and uses native image encoding to create a smaller result. A background worker processes one image at a time where supported. Downloads, previews and ZIP archives are created on your device.

What we prioritize

Useful controls, honest results and minimal data collection. There is no account to create, no photo library to upload and no subscription needed to use the current compressor. Website traffic and performance are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, separately from your images.

Know the tradeoffs

JPEG and WebP compression can lose detail. PNG size targets can reduce dimensions. If re-encoding makes a file larger, the original is offered with a warning that metadata may remain. Keep your originals for printing or editing. We do not promise exact file sizes or certify document-photo requirements.

Choose the right starting point
